WINEMAKER’S REVIEW
The 2013 Reserve is awesome to look at and provokes excitement and anticipation just resting, amazingly dark in the glass. The nose is full of ripe black currant, cherry, a little espresso and barrel toast. It’s a certainly an artful wine, coming across the nose in volleys and waves. The palate is strikingly pleasing, with pushing the limits of density and volume. Savory plum, blackberry preserves, lifted acidity and surrounding, but not too firm, tannins abound. This is a very elegant wine made to showcase power and restrain. That juxtaposition is what gives a wine great character and this certainly has plenty of that! Cellared correctly, this Cab will age for 20 magnificent years and beyond!
