Description
91 pts – Wine Enthusiast magazine: “Well-defined acidity holds on with tenacity in this stylistically rich, thick and full-bodied reserve-level wine from the elusive appellation. Big tannins provide a gritty, leathery texture marked by notes of coffee, toffee and dried herb, the fruit concentrated in black cherry.”
Our 2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the 20 acre Crouse Vineyard in the Mount Veeder Appellation of Napa Valley – one of the Napa Valley’s most unique and compelling appellations. The vines are nearly 30 years old and cared for by sustainable farming done by hand.
WINEMAKER’S REVIEW
This wine has a deep, dark plum core. Dark cheery fruit notes are bolstered by firm acidity, and rich, subtle tannins that speak to immediate enjoyment and long term age-abilty. Aging in French Oak barrels created its complex, yet delicate flavor.
